You might ask why we’re posting a fight between Cal Clutterbuck and Sean Avery. Well, there are actually two reasons for the video:
1. Any reason to use the name “Clutterbuck” should be celebrated.
2. For any huge NHL fans, this video will completely screw with your head. How is it, that the 2 biggest divers in the entire league can take a punch without falling down like they were shot by a sniper? Usually, these guys just have to be grazed with a stick before they fall to the ice like an Italian soccer player (or Mexican or English, you get the point).
I know fans usually want fights to go as long as possible, but I think this one takes the cake. I honestly didn’t care who won the fight, I just wanted both of them to get in as many good shots as possible. If I had to choose, I’d have to say I was rooting for Clutterbuck. At least he is leading the league in hits this season. Avery, well, why don’t you just ask Dallas Stars fans how they feel about his productivity this season! Unfortunately, the fight disappointed (as per usual).
This fight from earlier in the week, however, did NOT disappoint! I’m not sure if I feel worse for Jordin Tootoo’s face or Brad Staubitz’s left hand.
