NHL Roundtable Week Preview

by Matt Reitz on August 29, 2009

roundtable_1Next week is going to be Divisional Preview Week here at View From My Seats. We have Roundtables set-up with bloggers from each of the 30 NHL teams weighing in on their own teams, as well as their own divisions. We were happy to get insight into each and every team—from big-time blogs as well as some under the radar blogs that are doing some great work.

Each day we’ll focus on a different division. We have experts (or at least passionate observers) giving us their opinions for their teams’ upcoming seasons. Not only that, but they’ll give us an idea of what to look for in their own division! It’s truly great to see how perspectives and opinions can differ between cities and websites. By the end of the week, you should have an idea of what to expect for all 30 teams and all 6 divisions. At least that’s the goal!

As always with these projects, we suggest you do whatever it is you do to keep track of sites. RSS Feeds, follow us on Twitter or Facebook, bookmark the page or even sign up for an e-mail subscription. This isn’t something you’ll want to miss. Hopefully you enjoy reading it as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together. Each of the bloggers that have graciously donated their time have done a great job of giving us insight into their NHL world. They’re all pretty awesome people—except for the guys at StayClassy.net. They can’t be trusted.

Here’s how our week is going to be laid out.

Monday, August 31: Atlantic Division
(New Jersey Devils, Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, New York Rangers, New York Islanders)

Tuesday, September 1: Northeast Division
(Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs)

Wednesday, September 2: Southeast Division
(Washington Capitals, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, Atlanta Thrashers, Tampa Bay Lightning)

Thursday, September 3: Central Division
(Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, St. Louis Blues, Nashville Predators)

Friday, September 4: Pacific Division
(San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, Phoenix Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings)

Saturday, September 5: Northwest Division
(Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Avalanche)

Check out some previews for your team. Check out the previews for your rivals. Check out the insight on teams that you know nothing about (but wish you did). Hell, check out the previews for teams you could care less about. They’ll all be represented this week!

If you've been back this many times and aren't a subscriber, what are you waiting for? Even if our RSS feeds scare the hell you (because you don't quite understand RSS), we promise the email alerts aren't painful at all. Seriously, a money-back-guarantee-even-though-its-free kind of promise.

Chief from A2Y and Jessica from Bingo Bango. Yes, there are 2 Red Wings contributors. No, that doesn’t mean that I’m a fan! They both come from completely different angles though…
