Daily Cross Checks

Sunday October 25

Daily-Cross-Checks
Who’s playing in the NHL tonight? Where can I find it on TV? When should I turn on the aforementioned TV? Most importantly, should I even bother turning on the TV? Here’s a place to find all the games of the night and talk about them to your heart’s content. Don’t worry, tomorrow we’ll start all over. Hockey fans, these are your Daily Cross-Checks.

San Jose at Philadelphia
Time: 4 PM PST
TV: RIS,NHLN-CA,CSN-CA (HD),CSN-PH (HD)
Say what you want, but at the end of the year you have to think that both of these teams will be competing for a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals. Top to bottom, you could make the argument that these are two of the most talented rosters in the entire NHL! Chris Pronger and Rob Blake have to think these are different than those epic Kings/Ducks battles… Both teams in the 2nd game of a back-to-back

Columbus at Los Angeles
Time: 6 PM PST
TV: FS-O (HD),FS-W (HD)
In their first meeting, the Kings scored the first goal, then were thoroughly dominated for the rest of the game. They played so well that Alexander Frolov earned himself a spot in the press box for the next game. Hopes for Kings fans: Frolov plays well enough that he stays in the line-up. Oh, and both teams are in the 2nd game of a back-to-back

Edmonton at Vancouver
Time: 7 PM PST
TV: SNET-W (HD),SNET-P (HD)
Vancouver stays at home and welcomes another Canadian team (not CanadiEn) to GM Place. This time, the opponent is off to a much better start. Yes, both teams are in the 2nd game of a back-to-back. But at least Vancouver didn’t have to leave the comfort of their own bed.
