Daily Cross Checks

Friday November 6

Daily-Cross-Checks
Who’s playing in the NHL tonight? Where can I find it on TV? When should I turn on the aforementioned TV? Most importantly, should I even bother turning on the TV? Here’s a place to find all the games of the night and talk about them to your heart’s content. Don’t worry, tomorrow we’ll start all over. Hockey fans, these are your Daily Cross-Checks.

NY Islanders at New Jersey
Time: 4 PM PST
TV: MSG PLUS 2,MSG PLUS (HD)
Why is it that this rivalry doesn’t have nearly the excitement of a Rangers/Isles game or a Devils/Rangers game?

Toronto at Carolina
Time: 4 PM PST
TV: LEAFS TV (HD),FS-CR
One of these teams is actually going to get a win. I promise.

Philadelphia at Buffalo
Time: 4:30 PM PST
TV: TCN-PH,MSG-B (HD)
The game of the night in the East—the Flyers are off to the start that everyone expected. On the other hand, Ryan Miller has the Sabres off to a start that no one outside of Buffalo expected!

Washington at Florida
Time: 4:30 PM PST
TV: RDS,CSN-DC+,FS-F
The Panthers will look to build on their 3-0 shutout victory in their last game. Unfortunately for them, the Caps have a little more firepower than the Hurricanes (yes, even without Ovechkin).

Vancouver at Dallas
Time: 5:30 PM PST
TV: SNET-P (HD),FS-SW (HD)
The last time these teams played, the Stars carried the play for most of the game; yet the Canucks escaped with a shootout victory at home. The Stars are getting healthy, so the Canucks are going to have to come with a better effort to get a W this time.

Chicago at Colorado
Time: 6 PM PST
TV: CSN-CH (HD),ALT (HD)
Here’s your Game of the Night in the West. The 1st place team in the Central against the 1st place team in the Northwest. Of course, EVERYONE knew that this would be a big game at the beginning of the season, right?
