I might just be a hockey fan in California, but:
- I don’t care if the 26th is a Saturday this year; the United States really needs to start celebrating Boxing Day.
Has more shutouts than the Coyotes had potential buyers. Literally.
- Daryl Reaugh is funnier than Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon. Combined.
- It only took 3 years for me to officially think of New Years Day as a hockey day. Sorry college football, but you kind of screwed up a great thing.
- Every time I think the Ducks are about to show signs of life, they mix in a stinker like Wednesday night’s game in Phoenix. How am I supposed to take them seriously when they don’t even show up for a game?
- How much did it suck to be the Minnesota Wild’s equipment guy last week?
- The biggest loss for the Coyotes in the offseason was Darren Pang. Holy Jumpin’!
- Am I the only one that finds it kind of funny that Guillaume Latendresse is thriving in Minnesota?
- I know the Red Wings are battling a ton of injuries, but after this week I just get the FEELING that the Blackhawks are ready to take the torch.
- I find it funny that the NHL takes two days off for Christmas, yet I only get one day off (no, weekends don’t count!)
- What would be more miserable? To be the Carolina Hurricanes, suck and have no one care? Or be the Philadelphia Flyers, suck and have everyone give a shit?
- The Columbus Blue Jackets are 0-6-2 in their last 8 games. I really fear that their fan base wouldn’t withstand a HUGE slump that led them to the basement again.
- The two best teams in the NHL are in the Atlantic Division. There are two teams in the Atlantic that are located in New York. No, they are not the same two teams.
- Jacques Lemaire looks like the kind of guy that would wear a really back Christmas sweater with a giant snowman on it.
Merry Christmas... from Santa Claus
- Returning from a 15 game absence to face the Pittsburgh Penguins is NOT the way to EASE back into playing. An 8-2 loss says that Pascal Leclaire agrees with me.
- I can’t wait to see how the fans in Vancouver react to Ryan Kesler playing for Team USA during the Olympics. Do they cheer because they love him or boo because he’s playing for the opponent?
- People should start realizing that the Coyotes are pretty good. If the Doan-Lombardi-Upshall line is going to continue scoring like this, then Bryzgalov is going to start adding some wins to the rest of his elite statistics.
- The St. Louis Blues went up to Western Canada and beat the Canucks, Oilers and Flames in 3 straight games. Damn, the West is good this year.
- I love how Don Waddell continually says that the Thrashers have every intention of resigning Ilya Kovalchuk—yet there are rumors for about 10 teams that are about to acquire him!
- Pat Quinn is a white beard away from being the perfect Santa Claus.
- I’ve started watching exhibition games BEFORE the World Junior Championships. I need to get a hold of my life.
- Gary Bettman is a pompous little person that needs to be fired for the good of the game.

Haha yeah I am SOO surprised the states do not celebrate boxing day. It is mayhem here in Canada, one more day for big box stores to such every last dollar from the hard working men and women before the end of the year (well some great sales as well)
-World Junior exhibition games were great hockey. Did you watch Canada vs Latvia game today?, whoah what a blowout! Sweden rolled over the czech as well
- Bettman is a dweeb, I wish there was a hockey democracy, he would be impeached!
